OMG HELP SUPER URGENTLY!!!

I had my iPod on hold while it was in my bag at school today and when I got home I plugged it into my computer so it turned on but it didn't say it was connected or anything and then I unplugged it and it still said it was on hold so I turned the hold off but it didn't do anything (The little padlock is still at the top) and now I'm freaking out because AHHHH :noes:
Like...I can flick the thing at the top as much as I like but it doesn't un-hold :noes:

Help me please!!! :cries:

My iPod freezes sometimes. :hmm: I think you need to leave it on overnight? Then in the morning, when there's no more battery, recharge it.

It turned on because I plugged it in but it didn't say it was connected or anything and now it won't turn off
